Educational & research material
XTB provides good quality market analysis from third party providers and from its own team. They offer Market News and a Market Calendar. Their Market News has regular financial updates and an Economic Calendar. Traders can access live prices, the spread and the percentage of the change. Their Market Calendar provides daily economic data and forecasts. YouTube videos are limited but are available in Polish, German and Italian, as well as English.
Educational content, Live Webinars and FAQ is also available. The Trading Academy is very useful and offers educational material in the form of lessons with content tailored to the trader’s level, and is labelled as basic, intermediate, expert and premium.
Commissions & fees
XTB has relatively lower fees for stock index CFDs, but charges more for stock CFDs. Stock and ETF CFD fees are charged as a volume-based fee, but a minimum fee also applies.
You can open an account for free, but there is a monthly fee for having an account. If a customer does not open or close a position within a year and they deposit no cash for the last 90 days, there is a fee charge of EUR 10.
What instruments are offered by XTB?
XTB provides access to CFDS on 3900 stocks and ETFs, more than 20 commodities, 42 indices, 25 cryptocurrencies, and 40+ forex pairs. It also offers 7800 cash equities. Leverage is up to 1:30. There are no requotes and execution is very fast. Spreads start from 0,00001.
What are XTB’s trading platforms?
XTB offers the xStation 5and MetaTrader 4 (MT4) platforms.
The xStation 5 includes heat mapping, a stock screener and sentiment analysis. xStation 5’s “investment basket” tool, where you can create a basket of various symbols to buy or sell in one click is also an attractive selling point. You can also download the xStation mobile app and access 1,500 CFD markets including FX, cryptocurrencies, indices, commodities, stocks and ETFs.
The standard platform for all your trading needs with automated trading available. MT4 is a valid alternative to xStation 5, but traders prefer xStation 5 for its lower costs.
